About the project

With larger building designs, cleaning glass panes in structures becomes more challenging and hazardous, and the industry requires new solutions. Maintaining both accessibility and the calibre of the work when cleaning inaccessible façade is the key challenge. Robotic cleaning of glass, aluminium, and mosaic facades is necessary in situations where traditional crane-gondola systems are unable to function and where these traditional techniques are becoming financially unviable. So, I oversaw a group of three designers who created a glass-cleaning robot. Cleaning can be done in places that are hard to get to.
