About the project

Generative design is an iterative design process that involves a program that will generate a certain number of outputs that meet certain constraints and a designer that will fine-tune the feasible region by selecting specific outputs or changing input values, ranges, and distribution. After a course on Coursera, an assignment was given.wherein we were asked to generate a concept design for a stepping stool using the Generative Design Workbench of Fusion 360 that is such that an individual weighing 200 pounds can stand on it. I was asked to consider various situations.

Why this Design?

This design is best because of its low weight and high strength. This design is obtained using generative design, which considers the various situations, like -

• Force of standing still
• Force of reaching for something on one toe
• Steeping onto or off the stool

To solve this, I had to split the top face of the stool into parts and then apply a combination of loads so that I could get the design ready.
