About the project

Post Vitrectomy Recovery System Sleep Assist (PVRS SA) is an extended product line to PVRS that helps patients maintain a prone position while sleeping. PVRS SA is a piece of 2-way furniture that can be used to maintain a prone position while sleeping and can also be placed on your table to maintain a prone position while sitting. As a freelancer, I was tasked with reverse engineering this sleep assist system. The client was an Indian and wished to sell this product as his own. They already had their design but wished to develop the initial design even further. They provided me with the images as a reference for the previous design, which I reverse-engineered and developed even further.

Fun Fact

The reverse-engineered design is more extendable than the reference design. The maximum attainable height in this design is up to seventeen inches. The renders shown below do not show the cushions, which will add another 2-3 inches of height and comfortability to it.
